DIE VERLIERER
The five members have created a musical kaleidoscope that unfolds across their tracks, offering an introspective look in the mirror and a snapshot of life in contemporary Berlin.
Despite the serious topics, the band remains true to their musical identity. They masterfully blend post-punk and Neue Deutsche Welle (NDW), rawness and melody, timelessness and modern energy. One of the band’s strengths is the diversity of voices, which lends each song a unique nuance and reveals new layers with every listen.
The songs address personal themes like powerlessness, searching, loneliness, and excess, as well as gentrification and the creeping shift to the right in society.
SOCKE
Hailing from Heidelberg, SOCKE delivers German-language punk, blending influences from Aussie power garage and the Bremer Schule. Their lyrics oscillate between self-criticism, critique of their own bubble, and criticism of the CDU (Christian Democratic Union).
The four-piece band is part of the self-managed cultural space Autohaus Heidelberg. Within this community, they recorded and produced their debut EP, Schlechte Luft EP, which will be released in January 2025.
